As the topic say it would be nice if someone would make a voice chat like ventrilo, skype, teamspeak and so on. since i did read about ppls that got hacked from ventrilomix. So why not make a program that make it possible to chat like ventrilo but dedicated to tibia and 100% safe. (if it will be a great program it can sure be used for other games)

the make of this program should make huge profit out of it if it will be a success(spelling?).

How should i/we as developer earn money from this o.O?
Just think about it. Almost every guild do use some kind of Voice chat, and put in some monthly payment for servers that pay the dedicated host and also give you as a programmer a profit. (tip do not put the server price to high the money will come when more ppl find out that its a safe and good software, 10~ euro should be a good amount of money for 1 month+)
edit: do add some "adds" inside the gui or so and then offer a premium version to remove the "adds" (for 1 - 5~ euro, easy thinking can give you some money :D)

The only bad thing about it is that almost every player does say "its bad/hack/copy/noob program ......", so it can be hard to get the stream to accept this program.
It does also contain good knowledge about programing and servers, voice codex, and a small support team to help new users to get use to the software

i hope there is some one that got this on thire mind already and i hope to see some effort to my proposal/suggestion, but i do not know any thing about software programming so that is why im turning to this site for a respond (i will not take part in this, just gave you an idea.)

I wonder why someone would think skype/ventrilo is unsafe. I've been using both for a long time now and never got an issue.

It's just a lot of work to get done when you just have it done. Although I really do not know how would these two programs behave with lots of ppl online because I just used to talk to a maximum of 10 buddies.

Probably because people try and download cracked ventrilo servers because they're too cheap to purchase their own...

But that's still a decent idea, although since some ventrilo servers cost about 10~ Euros for 25 slots it wouldn't give people much of an incentive to switch programs

I doubt that it will be that easy. You'd need to read the input from the microphone, encode and maybe compress it, send it to the server, let the server overlay all input streams and deliver the result to the clients again. And that's just the rough description. I'd rather recomment using Skype or TeamSpeak for that reason, because they spent years on figuring out how things work properly and have more human ressources for development, making them superior to small developer groups that possibly don't even know anything about the whole matter.
I have no experience with Ventrilo, but Skype has alway served me well (also on Linux, which I am working with most of the time), and if you have larger groups of people that Skype won't handle anymore, try TeamSpeak and maybe rent a server for that. Renting a server indeed costs money, but you'd need to do so either way as also a new solution would have to run on a server again. Also, TeamSpeak servers generally are relatively cheap.

I think you will just re-invent the wheel. Since I play Tibia with my friends sometime I mostly use Xfire to voice chat Or Skype and other than that you have MSN, Ventrilo etc.

So I think there isn't a great demand for a new program.
